Georgian Oak Black Forest Sideboard

Monumental Early 19th century Georgian solid Oak Black Forest double pedestal sideboard or buffet. The carving is incredible throughout. The top crest with a large carved Deer head with antlers facing forward. Beside are carved open mouth Griffins heads facing each end with their tongues scrolling out. The balance of the top pediment is finished with scrolling & pierced large C scrolls. There are borders of crisply carved tongue and leaf throughout the piece. As well as carved nuts leaf & berries there are Maidens. The base is two pedestals joined by the large top all with raised panel sides and drawer fronts. There are 3 drawers above the two side cupboards below. The carved North Wind face drawer and door pulls are fantastic. We have had the sideboard professionally restored so it is ready to go into your home and be the focal point of any room you desire
