Hall Chair Oak Griffin Carved

Victorian solid quarter sawn Oak hall or throne chair. The back is ornately carved with large open mouth bearded Griffins and shell carved crest over large Egg as well as C scrolls acanthus foliage hanging bell flowers swags and paw foot. The back posts are finished with roll carved tops and the front of the arms are carved and scroll roll. This chair has a square shaped Oak seat and is set on an X frame having Egg & acanthus carved crest turned stretcher base ending on carved paw foot
