R J Horner Oak Lions Head Dining Chairs

Set of 6 Victorian solid tiger Oak dining chairs made by R J Horner. This set consists of 2 arm chairs and 4 side chairs. These impressive chairs have shaped crests with very crisply carved Egg scrolling leaf anf bell floral motifs. Carved open mouth and bearded lions heads adorn the back posts. The lower seat splats again carved with acanthus foliage. The lovely shaped arms finished with acanthus carved fronts finished under with bulbous acanthus carved posts. The chairs have solid Oak backs with upholstered fronts and seats. The front legs are cabriole acanthus carved knee ending on carved paw foot
