Bird's Eye Maple Cheval Mirror

Victorian Bird's Eye Maple cheval mirror in wonderful original finish. This mirror is signed by The Widdicomb Furniture Co Grand Rapids Mich and date stamped 1903. The large original bevel mirror is still bright and clear and is set in a frame finished with a very crisply carved acanthus foliate crest. The mirror is supported very securely by the lovely pierced and acanthus carved stand ending on elegantly splayed legs

    We bought a table from Dennis in late 2010. About a year later, my daughter caused some damage to the table. Dennis thought she might have exacerbated a hairline crack. Dennis drove close to two hours to our house, examined the table, took it to a craftsman to be repaired, and paid for the repair himself. That is a level of service that one rarely sees these days. It is a delight to deal with someone who looks after the customer. I would not hesitate to recommend Antiques by Design.
