Griffin Carved Mahogany Rocking Chair - Victorian

Victorian Mahogany rocking chair with pierced and carved crest having open mouth and winged Griffins and egg with Art Nouveau stylized foliage. The back is finished out of beautiful ribbon grain Mahogany. The arms very nicely shaped with acanthus carved front and finished under with turned spindles. The solid Mahogany shaped seat is bow front and the chair is set on cabriole front legs and turned spindle stretcher
