Karpen flame Mahogany Victorian vanity dresser or dressing table. The large lovely shaped mirror and carved frame with Rococo motifs of shell crest & foliate roll scrolls. The harps very crisply carved large C scrolls acanthus foliage flowers and evolute motifs. The base is gorgeous rich flame Mahogany with S shaped drawer fronts and all original hardware. The center drawer finished with acanthus carved bottom edge. This vanity is set on an arabesque carved knee cabriole leg ending on scroll roll carved foot. We have the matching chevel mirror signed Karpen one of the finest furniture makers at the turn of the last century in North America

    We bought a table from Dennis in late 2010. About a year later, my daughter caused some damage to the table. Dennis thought she might have exacerbated a hairline crack. Dennis drove close to two hours to our house, examined the table, took it to a craftsman to be repaired, and paid for the repair himself. That is a level of service that one rarely sees these days. It is a delight to deal with someone who looks after the customer. I would not hesitate to recommend Antiques by Design.
