French Gold Gilt settee canape or sofa. The heavy frame with original finish, entirely carved with Guilloche and bead borders. The back with fantastic carved floral wreath, leaf & berry crest. The arms having carved upturned acanthus leaf and roll front. The sofa is set on turned and fluted legs and the upholstery is Vintage still in nice condition

    We bought a table from Dennis in late 2010. About a year later, my daughter caused some damage to the table. Dennis thought she might have exacerbated a hairline crack. Dennis drove close to two hours to our house, examined the table, took it to a craftsman to be repaired, and paid for the repair himself. That is a level of service that one rarely sees these days. It is a delight to deal with someone who looks after the customer. I would not hesitate to recommend Antiques by Design.
