Victorian Oak Fireplace Surround

Tall Victorian solid tiger Oak mirror over fireplace mantel or surround. This mantel is very nicely constructed and very good quality finished with crisply carved motifs of scrolling leaf bell flowers egg & dart and bead borders. The large bevel mirror with outset columns beside having fluting and bulbous acanthus carved lobs. The mantel shelf is serpentine shaped supported by a heavy acanthus carved corbel bracket and S shaped front posts. The posts finished with carved egg in shield above hanging bell flowers and fluting. The bottom of the posts are nicely finished with a roll carved scroll above the plinth base.

We are constantly updating the antique furniture inventory listed for sale on our website, adding new arrivals and and marking pieces sold, keeping it current so please check back often. If you are looking for a particular piece, or have antique or designer furniture for sale give us a call, as a dealer we are also always buying. Our shop is located in Chilliwack, in the Lower Mainland of Beautiful British Columbia, Canada. We are open by appointment or by chance.

Shipping & Delivery

We list the estimated shipping price on each item but please call 1-604-316-1933 or email dennis@antiquesbydesign.com to confirm. We ship to most areas across Canada and throughout the United States. Smaller packages weighing up to 100 LBS we ship by Greyhound Package Express to the closest terminal to your address which is where you will pick up from. For all larger pieces we ship by blanket wrap movers to your address.

    We bought a table from Dennis in late 2010. About a year later, my daughter caused some damage to the table. Dennis thought she might have exacerbated a hairline crack. Dennis drove close to two hours to our house, examined the table, took it to a craftsman to be repaired, and paid for the repair himself. That is a level of service that one rarely sees these days.
