Victorian Lions Head Window Bench / Blanket Box

Victorian Satin Walnut window bench / fireside bench or blanket box. This bench is finished with large crisply carved bearded lions heads on each end of the arms holding leaf berry & ribbon swags in their open mouths. The seat lid lifts open and inside there is a removable tray. This bench is finished on all 4 sides having panel construction with crisply carved arabesque depictions of large eggs cupids playing horns and scrolling acanthus foliage. The top and bottom edges are finished with lunette carved borders. The posts are S shaped and fluted

    We bought a table from Dennis in late 2010. About a year later, my daughter caused some damage to the table. Dennis thought she might have exacerbated a hairline crack. Dennis drove close to two hours to our house, examined the table, took it to a craftsman to be repaired, and paid for the repair himself. That is a level of service that one rarely sees these days.
