Victorian solid tiger Oak fireplace mantel or surround. This magnificent surround is very tall and the top cornice finished with crisply carved scrolling acanthus foliage & crowns. The heavy round outset columns have acanthus & floral carved capitals. We have put a new bevel mirror in this mantel as the original was just to far gone. The mantel face is stunning with very crisply carved winged Griffins scrolling acanthus foliage crowns and the center medallion of Oak leaves. The front posts with carved Oak leaves in block over the bottom outset columns again having the acanthus and floral carved capitals ending on tall plinth base. The mantel is heavy and solid very nice quality and we have had it professionally refinished so it is ready to go into your home and be the focal point of the room

    We bought a table from Dennis in late 2010. About a year later, my daughter caused some damage to the table. Dennis thought she might have exacerbated a hairline crack. Dennis drove close to two hours to our house, examined the table, took it to a craftsman to be repaired, and paid for the repair himself. That is a level of service that one rarely sees these days.
