U Back Paddle Arm Arts + Crafts Oak Rocking Chair

Arts + Crafts quartered Oak U back paddle arm rocking chair. Although unsigned this was definitely made by L & J G Stickley and is their Handcraft Model 823. The U back name is due to the shape of the top edge on the crest rail which is bow shaped with chunky slats under. The arms on this rocker curve slightly and are notched out on the front which is called a paddle arm and also has the front posts exposed up thru the arm finished under with corbel brackets. We have had the original drop in sprung seat professionally re upholstered. The rocker has double seat rails and is finished with pin & tenon construction

We ship to most areas across Canada and throughout the United States. Smaller packages weighing up to 100 LBS we ship by Greyhound Package Express to the closest terminal to your address which is where you will pick up from. For all larger pieces we ship by blanket wrap movers to your address.
