Federal Mahogany Split Pedestal Dining Table

Federal 48" round Mahogany split pedestal dining table with 3 boards. This is a nicely made table very heavy construction. The 3 original boards are much wider than most other tables from this period. The table top has a nicely molded edge and the bottom edge on the apron matches. The top is set on an interesting split column having four partial round posts two on each side of the split column. The large legs extend out from the central column and have heavy S shaped corbel brackets along the top edge and the end of the legs finished in an interesting round foot with carved cap on the top and collar on the bottom. The table top opens smoothly and the base splits open to reveal the center leg which adds great stability to the long table when fully open.  As you see in one of the photos there is plenty of room in this long table to add more leaves as it opens fully to 154" long

Smaller packages weighing up to 100 LBS we ship by Greyhound Package Express to the closest terminal to your address which is where you will pick up from. For all larger pieces we ship by blanket wrap movers to your address.
