Cherub Carved Oak Victorian Fireplace Surround

Cherub carved quarter sawn Oak Victorian fireplace surround. The mantel is in beautiful refinished condition solid & tight. The top features a broken pediment with a nicely carved winged cherub face in the center. Another really nice feature on this mantel is the upper top shelf how it is finished along the deep face under having an inward curve along the front and sides and supported under by the two large front posts. The posts bulge out towards the bottom and the fronts on these posts are finished with crisply carved Art Nouveau influenced vines entwined to the flower below on the top and and reverse on the bottom. The large bevel mirror is in good condition. The mantel shelf is a good size and finished with a small bead edge below and the same inward curve face along the front and sides supported under by the three smaller brackets. The mantel still has the original flange around the back and also the tall plinth base blocks

Smaller packages weighing up to 100 LBS we ship by Greyhound Package Express to the closest terminal to your address which is where you will pick up from. For all larger pieces we ship by blanket wrap movers to your address.
