Arts + Crafts Quarter Sawn Oak Hall Mirror
Arts + Crafts quarter sawn Oak hall mirror. The finish is original Fumed Oak which was a process used by some of the Mission makers in the day where the Oak was placed in sealed airtight rooms to darken the Oak with the fumes of Ammonia set out in open containers. The fumed finish on this mirror is in very nice condition. All corners on the frame are angle cut and the frame is finished with faux cathedral cut buttons. The frame still has the four large impressive cast iron Arts + Crafts hooks. These have double hooks for coats or scarves as well as open mouth Lions heads and the top hat hook extends upwards
