Mission Quarter Sawn Oak Arts + Crafts Library Table

Mission quarter sawn Oak oval library table with chamfered board sides. This table is finished with a heavy oval shaped top having rounded corners and was more than likely built by the Michigan Chair Co with a number stamp of 724. There is plenty of storage or display area on top of the lower shelf which is finished on either end by solid Oak sides having grooves inside and out giving an appearance of slats. This lower cabinet section on the table is divided in half and open on both front and back. The top and bottom shelves on this lower cabinet section are finished with notches on each end to fit around the inside of the legs so the outside edge of these shelves protrude out past the legs giving the appearance of a Mortised tenon. The top and bottom shelves are joined to the sides by 4 fantastic large hand made tenons or pins and the sides are joined to the legs by 5 large hand made pins. This table is in beautiful refinished condition
