Side X Side Victorian Oak Bookcase / Desk

Victorian tiger Oak side by side bookcase / drop front desk cabinet. This has been beautifully refinished with no repairs necessary. The upper gallery section with open display shelves and original shaped & bevel mirror behind is nicely finished with a scroll roll apron above and very crisply carved acanthus & open mouth lions head corner brackets. The desk side has a spindle gallery and smaller shelf supported by spindle post. The left side is the glass door enclosed bookcase, the glass is original and there are three Oak shelves inside and are adjustable for height. There is a decal on the top of the glass door which would provide assurance that this cabinet at some time was used by the US Air Force somewhere. The right side cabinet has the slant or drop front door desk. The interior fitting in the desk looks to be original and the drop front door when down is secured by two door brackets. Under the desk are a bow front drawer over two flat front drawers. Some of the hardware was missing so we have had those replaced and the cabinet is set on simple cabriole leg

We ship to most areas across Canada and throughout the United States. Smaller packages weighing up to 100 LBS we ship by Greyhound Package Express to the closest terminal to your address which is where you will pick up from. For all larger pieces we ship by blanket wrap movers to your address.
