Signed L & J G Stickley Mission Oak Open Bookcase Desk

Signed L & J G Stickley Mission quartered Oak open bookcase desk. The finish is beautifully redone and the desk is solid & tight. The rich chip grain top is fasted with L & J G Stickley signature spline and the top is secured down with their signature figure 8 metal fasteners. This desk has a blind drawer which refers that there is no handle, there is a groove along the bottom of the back of the drawer front which you pull the drawer out by. The drawer is dovetail construction front and back. There is a small key hole on the drawer front but we are missing the key. Inside the drawer is where you will find the makers white paper label which will date the desk to 1912. “The Work of L & J G Stickley”.  The desk is pin & tenon construction throughout and is finished with open bookcase ends having a heavy single slat on the front and back of the desk. The sides of the desk along the back of the bookcase ends is finished with panel construction. This is a very well made desk by one of the premier makers back in the day

Smaller packages weighing up to 100 LBS we ship by Greyhound Package Express to the closest terminal to your address which is where you will pick up from. For all larger pieces we ship by blanket wrap movers to your address.
